About
"Stephanie, we love your work! Thank you for creating openings for people to understand the content. This is really a powerful instrument for connectivity on the individual and larger levels. Thank you for your commitment to bringing our work to life in this iterative way.” — Rachael Wong, Founder & Strategic Advisor, One Shared Future
Grateful to the ecosystem of trusted professionals with whom I regularly collaborate with, some since 2011!
As we each grow, we bring each other along and share the fruits of our expansion.
Stephanie Chang, M.A.
Principal and Founder
I was born and raised in East Honolulu, nestled in Maunalua. My mom and dad were my first teachers. Nurtured by many, I am called to what excites, where the need is, and to deep stirrings of my personal kuleana. I choose to move with community energy and honor community intelligence.
I’m lit up by the creative process, visual excellence, and making meaning. My years as a dancer and my first career in museum education and exhibitions built a solid foundation in project management, creative execution, and leading groups.
This work is really about translation and bridge building, ultimately to create systems change. So grateful to learn alongside and from communities of visionaries where we together connect the dots between — ‘ike kūpuna and native hawaiian ways of knowing — community-led planning — energy equity — visual design & communications — and natural resource restoration.
A favorite 11 year old in my life describes me as “A tiger chasing a butterfly.”
