The HART Sustainability Program took a bold and innovative interpretation of sustainability: directing it toward community resilience rather than focusing on traditional metrics gathering to assess key indicators of Sustainability.
The Sustainable Mobility Lab at HART brought value to the organization through activating transportation and sustainability through seeding learning experiences with community to deepen connections with each other, our places, and our transportation. We explored creative methods to listen, capture and present community perspectives and feedback for HART, engaged the internal HART staff to better connect with community. and seeded collaborations between community based organizations and residents.
Stakeholders engaged were schools and community based organizations along the Rail line; community residents and businesses along the Rail line, and sustainability leads at city agencies.
Stephanie Chang Design Ink played a key role in co-creating the Lab, developing its brand identity, exploring process and purpose, presenting content visually, and engaging stakeholders to invite and co-create learning together.
